What is Brewdog & Punk API?

BrewDog is a multinational brewery and pub chain based in Ellon, Scotland. With the production of over 800,000hl, BrewDog claims to be the “#1 Craft Brewer in Europe”. It was founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, who together own 46% of the company. The Punk API takes Brewdog’s DIY Dog and turns it into a searchable, filterable API that’s completely free and open source. In this blog, I’ll show my process of creating a dashboard based on the Punk API data.

Alteryx Workflow

Firstly, collect the data from Punk API.

To be convenient for the visualization, I split the data into several tables.

e) Compare the relationship between ABV and IBU

In 2014, there was a moderately strong relationship between IBU and ABV. The higher the ABV, the bitter the alcohol.

e) Arrange the Layout and Finalise the Dashboard

It’s a data exploration dashboard. You can click one of the charts to filter the others.

You can click here to interact with the dashboard functionality.

If there are any problems, please feel free to point them out. Besides, you can reach out to me on LinkedIn. I will try my best to answer your questions about Tableau or Alteryx.
