Are you bothered by the scroll bar in your Visualization? I have found a perfect solution for you. If you dislike the scroll bar in your viz like me, you can add Select Page Slider in your viz in 5 simple steps.

For the demonstration purpose I will be using the Netflix data available as sample data on Tableau Public.

  • Step 1

Let’s count number of shows/movies available on Netflix in each country. Simply drag country to rows shelf and sum of Show IDs on Columns to produce a bar chart.

  • Step 2

This step will determine how many bars you want to see on 1 page. Create a parameter with float Data Type and Current value being the number of charts you want to show on one page. I want 10 bars on one page so my current value will be 10.

  • Step 3

In this Step assign a rank to the measure which makes up the bar which is sum of show id in current example. Create a calculated field to assign a unique rank to the sum of show ids.

  • Step 4

In this step make another calculated field to assign page number to each bar in the viz like as follows .

  • Step 5

In this final step, make another calculated field to assign a range of bars that you want to see on a page like as follows.
