Where to Start! Our cohort of trainees consisted of psychology, economics, electronics, mechanical backgrounds. But everyone is keen on data and will to learn. So, if we can tell a story and present it confidently using tableau, data school is the best place.
There is no doubt that the training is intense, but it is fun as well. We need to present all our efforts of the week on Friday at 3 p.m. The weekly presentations are great to build teamwork and improve our presentation skills. Even though, the regular working hours are 9.00 to 17.30 you might want to do the extra mile to learn more or impress the clients by working a bit harder.
Craig is a great resource of help and knowledge. He always has a solution for everything. Convo is also a good place for help and advice. And also we help each other. By the end of the training, you will be a certified Alteryx Core designer and a Tableau Desktop Associate, which is really great!
My tip to the new data schoolers are:
- Enjoy every moment of learning time.
- Don’t compare yourself to others.
- Take some time to practice your presentation. (Even if it is not a client presentation.)
- Enjoy it. (It will be different to any job you have done before,)
