I had always been fascinated by the world of data science, but I had never quite known how to get into it. It wasn’t until I stumbled upon an advertisement for the Data School that I realized I might have found my way in.

After a rigorous application process, I was accepted into the program and began my 16-week training. The first month was relatively easygoing, as we spent time getting to know each other and learning some useful tools. I felt relaxed and confident and excited about what was to come.

But things quickly ramped up in the second month. We were assigned a client project, and I quickly learned just how important communication is during teamwork. I also discovered that it’s essential to ask as many questions as possible during client meetings to ensure that everyone is on the same page.

The following two months were even more intense. We had a lot of work to do, and I found myself struggling to keep up at times. I realized that it was crucial not to put too much pressure on myself, especially during these more challenging times. I found that taking breaks and relaxing more often helped me stay focused and on task.

One particularly challenging week was Dashboard Week. I had heard about this notorious week before I even started the program, and I knew it would be a tough one. I remembered the tips I had been given: don’t overthink it, don’t stay up all night, and do my timebox. I kept my head down and focused on getting everything done before 5 pm, and when it was over, I felt a sense of accomplishment that I had never experienced before.

As the 16 weeks came to a close, I looked back on my journey and felt incredibly proud of all that I had accomplished. I had learned so many technical skills, and I felt like I was ready to take on the world of data analysis. I knew the road ahead wouldn’t be easy, but I was excited about what would come.

Looking back on the last 16 weeks, I knew that I had made the right choice. It had been a challenging journey, but I had grown and developed in ways that I never thought possible. I was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that I had the skills and the resilience to face them head-on.
