The Three Musketeers: Smoking, Drinking & Obesity

How much more apt can it get than to finish this crazy & intense Dashboard week with Alcohol consumption data set 😉 TGIF !!!!

We were given Iowa’s liquor sales data this morning to create a Dashboard Insight. The twist is that you complete the Dashboard and the Blog in the next 5 hours. Seems easy? Yes, there was enough time to breathe, of course!

The dataset was clean. Whilst, you think the dashboard creation must have been easy. Well! I can’t keep it simple, I guess. I wanted to see how smoking and drinking go hand in hand. Furthermore, Obesity is one of the biggest challenges that the USA faces. I wanted to know the impact of smoking and drinking habits on Iowa’s population’s average weight.

The dashboard contains the average consumption rate of Smoking, Drinking in the state of Iowa. The population above 21 years were considered consumers(legally).

Lessons Learnt:

Timeboxing the time for research, creation and formatting.
In retrospect, I feel I could have worked just with the given dataset.
