My 4-Month Training at Data School
This week marks the end of our intensive 4-month training at Data School. It has been a challenging yet rewarding journey of learning various data analytics tools. In this blog, I will share a summary of my experience, divided into three parts.
Part 1: Foundations and Introduction
The first part of the training focused on teaching the essential reporting and data manipulation tools, along with developing soft skills and project management.
The training was structured weekly, with each week dedicated to learning a new tool.
This phase lasted around 3 to 4 weeks, and every Friday, we had to present something related to the week’s training topic.
Part 2: Deepening Knowledge and Project Weeks
The second part involved gaining deeper knowledge of the tools, expanding our skills and understanding.
We also began our Project Weeks, which were designed to put our learning into practice. During this period, we completed two projects, working directly with clients to solve real business problems within a single week.
These weeks were quite challenging, as we had to balance ongoing training sessions with project work. Despite the tight schedule, we successfully completed all the projects.
Part 3: Project-Focused Learning
The final stage of the training period was primarily focused on projects, with only a few training sessions in between. During this phase, we completed around five projects along with a Dashboard Week.
Most of the weeks were dedicated to working with clients to address business problems. These projects were demanding, requiring meticulous attention to data manipulation, modeling, and producing reports that met all client requirements.
The Dashboard Week was especially intense, as we had to create a complete dashboard or report every single day. Some days required us to use APIs or manipulate data to present it in a clear, meaningful way.
Conclusion
To sum up, being part of the program was an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing me to deepen my knowledge and skills in an area I truly enjoy. Although the four months were intense and challenging at times, the effort was absolutely worth it, as I gained valuable insights and practical experience that will benefit me moving forward.
