Chen Zhang

Before joining The Data School, Chen worked as a civil engineer in China for one year in 2016. However, he did not feel civil engineering was his passion and decided to try something new. It was only after being a Data Engineering intern that he found his passion in working with data, in analysing, sorting and finding patterns in data.

To follow his new passion, Chen moved to Canberra to learn more in this exciting field. In 2020 he completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science from ANU in Canberra. Following graduation, Chen joined the Data School to fill his appetite for science and data.

In his free time, Chen enjoys reading magazines (specifically National Geographic), visiting exhibitions and museums and has a strong interest in cars. If money wasn’t a concern, Chen’s one dish he could have for the rest of his life would be lobster.
