Hoang started his journey in landscape architecture, where he was exposed to visual design and projects involving GIS mapping, this sparked his interest in visualising data. He decided to pivot his career to become more data-focused, and pursued a Master’s in Information Systems where he gained experience in project management, SQL, Tableau and coding. As his interest in Tableau grew, he decided to self-study to develop technical skills to become a well-rounded data analyst.
Eventually, he found The Data School and realised its potential to provide him with a great opportunity to gain practical experience. Beyond work, he enjoys gaming and making the most of sunny weather for his street photography.
